If you’re looking for something unique and fun to do this Friday night, look no further.
Backbeat Tours has teamed up with Sprock ‘n’ Roll Party Bikes to launch an exciting new event: a haunted bicycle pub crawl! Launching tonight, the event will be offered on Wednesdays and the last Friday (Trolley Night) of every month.
You’ve no doubt seen the Sprock n’ Roll Party Bike tours pedaling around Downtown, but if you’ve never experienced one for yourself, tonight’s a great time to check it out.
Backbeat Tours has been offering a variety of Memphis ours since 2006, including their wildly popular Memphis Walking Ghost Tour. Highly rated, and led by experienced guides, the Walking Ghost Tour takes you into the heart of Haunted Memphis, entertaining (and frightening) visitors with paranormal tales.
Tonight’s tour is taking things to a whole new level, though.
The two-hour pub crawl (or, pedal, if you want to get technical about it) combines the best of several worlds: booze, boos, and bikes. How could you possibly go wrong?
Participants will ride a 16-person party bike through the South Main Historic District, stopping at three historic pubs along the way: Earnestine & Hazel’s, LOCAL, and The Green Beetle. Throughout the ride, they’ll be entertained with spooky ghost stories. Each pub will offer exclusive drink specials for riders, along with creepy paranormal tales. The tour focuses on both historical and present-day paranormal activities
The ride is 21 and up (duh!) and reservations are required. It’s not too late to book, so call (901) 500-7101 or visit www.sprocknrollmemphis.com if you’re interested.
Since the tour is brand new, we can’t bring you a personal review (yet – watch this space for more info in the future). But if it’s it anything like Backbeat’s other tours, it’s guaranteed to be a fantastic time.
